Every window looks the same in a brochure. Here is what you cannot see from the curb — the two engineering choices that separate a window that lasts thirty years from one that fogs in seven.
The difference is in the space.
Argon is about twice as dense as oxygen, so it slows heat transfer between the panes of glass. It is a colorless, odorless, inert gas — the physics do the work.
A typical insulated glass unit is filled to roughly 30% argon and 70% air, which means only the bottom third of the cavity is doing real work. Evergreen Platinum is filled to 100%, corner to corner.
On a Houston south-facing wall in August, that difference shows up on your HVAC run-time — and on the summer bill it produces.

A patented polycarbonate warm-edge spacer with zero metal content — so there is no thermal bridge at the edge of the glass.
Metal spacers transfer heat and cold, expand and contract with every day and night in Texas, and put stress on the seal until the unit fogs. This one does not. It is the single most common reason older windows fail early, and the single easiest thing to get right.

Patented polycarbonate warm-edge spacer with zero metal content. No thermal bridge at the edge of the glass, no expansion stress on the seal.
100% Argon Fill

Microscopic layers of silver reflect unwanted heat while visible light passes through. SHGC 0.23 for fewer hot spots and less fading.

Foam engineered into the frame chambers at the factory — not stuffed in afterward. Reduces heat transfer, dampens noise, adds rigidity.
Fusion-Welded Corners
