What We Do

Meet the owner

Jeff Ternois was born and raised in the Houston area, specifically Sugar Land and Missouri City. He grew up with a twin brother and was raised by a single mother. In college, Jeff majored in criminal justice and later received a commission in the US Army as an Infantry Officer. He spent four years as an active-duty Infantry Officer in the US Army before transitioning out as a Captain. He was an Infantry Platoon Leader in Europe and Afghanistan. His job was to plan and execute combat missions and train his platoon to prepare for these missions. He oversaw around 40 infantrymen and managed a property book that exceeded $20,000,000 that included 4 Stryker personnel carrier vehicles. Following his time as a platoon leader, he was promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer of a USAREUR-based Stryker infantry squadron with an authorized strength of 793 Soldiers. There he was responsible for all aspects of personnel service support plans, activities, and operations. He served as principal advisor to the squadron and troop commanders on all personnel matters. He supervised and managed the Human Resource department which included personnel accounting and strength reporting, unit administration, casualty operations, finance operations, officer and enlisted personnel records, publications, mail operations, and awards.

After the Army, Jeff received his master’s in business administration from the University of Houston with a focus in real estate. Jeff entered the home building industry, working for a large home building company and later starting his own home building and roofing company. After building in up-and-coming neighborhoods, Jeff started a community outreach program to help homeless men and women get off the street. This is also where he began his advocacy work with the Houston City government to promote policies that support affordable housing.

I’m afraid they don’t! It’s a little like care insurance, if you haven’t been in an accident, you’re not getting a new car. So, if you don’t have storm damage, you’re not getting a roof.

We lucked out on that one!
